Please reach out to me if you have any
questions that are not answered below.
Yes! I take Aetna, Carelon/Beacon, and Partnership Health Plan (the mental health care provider for Medi-Cal in many northern California counties). I am now also able to take Kaiser OON, for those who have a referral from a Kaiser doctor to seek therapy with out of network providers using Carelon.
If you don't have one of those insurance plans, I am considered an out of network (OON) provider. I use Thrizer to streamline the process of submitting a superbill to your insurance and then you'll get a partial refund from them for your therapy sessions after your deductible has been met. The refund is calculated based on the insurance's percentage of OON coverage.
Yes! My private pay rate is $135 per session.
I am also able to offer a limited number of sliding scale rates for those who are a great fit, but are unable to afford the full fee. Please email to inquire about availability.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. The Estimate must be furnished within one business day of scheduling a service to be provided in three business days, or within three business days of scheduling a service to be provided in at least 10 business days. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I respectfully ask that you please cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment so that I can plan accordingly.
You can schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me so we can ask each other questions and see if we click or not. Then we'll schedule the first appointment, which will be an intake. During the intake, I will ask you questions about your medical and mental health history, any past traumas, and discuss your goals for therapy. Then with the next appointment, we get into the good stuff!
